"Hey!" Brendon called in a controlled voice; neither too loud, nor too combative. He walked briskly toward the escaping vehicle.
The taxi driver, who was backing out of a space in the Cub parking lot, stopped and turned his face to his summoner.
Their eyes met.
"Did you throw that out your window," Brendon asked, the index finger of his left hand pointing to a discarded Caribou Coffee container that lay on the striped asphalt. His tone remained non-threatening.
"No I didn't," the taxi driver lied...

Pre-Preview - Looking for a great racing experience this weekend? Let us recommend the totally cool Hudson, Wisconsin-based St. Croix Valley Triathlons. Yes, there are still slots available. RACE WEBSITE.
These nine (Olympic on Sunday) and 10-year old (sprint on Saturday) events feature a scenic venue, large and enthusiastic crowds of spectators and some of the best post-race eating you'll find anywhere. (Insert yummy sounds here.) The SCVT's Luau, featuring roast pig, is now legendary. And oh so yummilicious! Approximately 600 participants are anticipated for sprint; and 200 for the Olympic. Will you be among them?...

Bill and Heather are now blissfully married. Bill submitted this wonderful story:
MTN - Here is my race recap from the Baxter race as well as a little flavor and history about the struggle prior to and during the race. Keep in mind, I am not a writer, so feel free to scrap the whole thing as necessary. Thanks! - Bill Corcoran
Since 2004, I have had the pleasure of using this great sport we call triathlon to heal both my outer and inner wounds. After going through a tough divorce, triathlon gave me a healthy way to deal with the ever so difficult challenges that life brought me. The long workouts gave me time to pray,..
