Triathlete of the Year: History...

MINNESOTA MULTISPORT AWARDS - Today we look back at the list of awesome women who took home the TRIATHLETE OF THE YEAR award. We have added some notes on each recipient.

2015 - SUZIE FOX  (Suzie lives in Chaska with her many,many dogs and remains one of our state's most decorated multisportswomen.)

2014 - HEATHER LENDWAY (Heather got her pro license in 2015. She raced brilliant that year and was named US Elite Rookie of the Year. A richly deserved honor.)

2013 - HEATHER LENDWAY ....

2012 - RUTH BRENNAN MORREY  (Ruther got her pro license in 2013. She is America's premier female duathlete--two-time US Elite Duathlete of the Year--and a world class long distance triathlete.)

2011 - CLAIRE BOOTSMA  (Boots married two-time Minnesota male Triathlete of the Year, Dan Hedgecock. They relocated to Portland, Oregon after the 2014 tri season. Great people, we missed them.)

2010 - CATHY YNDESTAD  (Cathy and her husband Kerry have been living in Switzerland since 2014. We sure hope they return to Minnesota when their European stint concludes.)

2006 - MARLO CROSBY (We have lost touch with Marlo, who is a total sweetheart.)

2005 - EMILY DEPPE  (Em got her pro license in 2006, the year she married an awesome dude named Lars Finanger and relocated to Colorado.)

2004 - BECKY YOUNGBERG (Becky still lives and works in the Twin Cities. A lapsed triathlete, she is a successful road runner.)

2003 - WENDY PETERSON (Wendy's tri career was short but stellar. She lives in the Twin Cities. We still miss her.)

2001 - JAN GUENTHER (Now 57, Jan is one of the premier AG triathletes in the US. She is also a world class nordic skier, and entrepreneur and a very cool person.)
