MINNESOTA MULTISPORT HONORS - Here are the four women nominated for MOST IMPROVED:

JENNIFER FITZHARRIS-FUNK, 44, Minneapolis (photo top L)

JFF raced six times, with one win and four other podiums. She had impressive results in the past, but 2019 was special.

 

JENNA HORNER, 21, Eden Prairie (photo  R)

In regional action, she posted two wins and three other Top 5s. She has her sights set on a pro career.

Jessie was 13th at Northwoods in 2018. She was a close 2nd this year. She placed 8th at Brewhouse Olympic in 2018. She was 2nd there this year, and her time was 23 minutes faster. She was 5th @ Perham in 2018. She won the race this time around, and was nine minutes faster. She also rocked great performances at Timberman (6th) and Lake Minnetonka (8th).

 

RACHEL ZILINSKAS, 24, Minneapolis (top photo middle)

The UM grad student / world class swmmer appears to be destined for greatness. Her 2nd at Minneapolis Olympic, in a PR - 2:08:46, was head-turning, as was her 6th place overall finish at Collegiate Nationals. She also demonstrated great potential at 70.3, and in her Ironman debut (Wisconsin) she cracked the Top 10 (10:54:55)
