2023 Men's Team Minnesota...

Team Minnesota is the MMH Committee’s attempt to provide a season-long “power ranking” of Minnesota’s most prolific and successful triathletes. Think of it like the PTO’s result-based ranking system....

Our goal with this exercise has always been to motivate athletes to achieve, remain on, or improve their position on the Team, as well as to highlight the accomplishments of our state’s top multisport athletes, those of whom are usually close to the top of national-level rankings as well.

This year, the Committee, Goose ans I, favored publishing Team Minnesota differently. Goose favored an alphabetical listing, and I favored a ranked list. We compromised, deciding to rank 2023’s top triathlete, followed by groupings of 3 alphabetically within their tier. Below, is the 2023 Men’s Team Minnesota.

Top dog (#1): Preston Youngdahl

The cream of the crop (#2-4): Sean Cooley, AJ Manning, Peter Wilkman

The all-stars (#5-7): Joe Adriaens, Tim Bontrager, Dillon Williams

The masters (#8-10): Dan Arlandson, Brooks Grossinger, Brandon Lee

Honorable mentions: Noah Billings, Corey Nygaard, Spencer Syvertson
