The 2015 USAT Athletes of the Year were announced yesterday and, once again, Minnesotans stole the show. With three AOYs and ten HMs, ours was the most decorated state in the Land.
Our state’s three Athletes of the Year are:

ED. Here are USAT's 2015 Triathletes of the Year. Not including Gwen Jorgenson (US Elite Triathlete of the Year) and Honorary Minnesotan Greg Taylor, four Minnesotans are honored here. We will post our commentary on Wednesday.

Q: I have done a lot of running races, but I’m doing my first triathlon this season. How will my typical running pace change for a triathlon?
A: There is a difference in how you’ll feel running off your bike compared to how you feel during a running-only race. During my first triathlon, I was riding my bike into T2 and saw the athletes going out on the run, looking sluggish. I thought, “I’m going to beat them all!” Little did I know exactly how my legs would feel when I started running—heavy and slow. That is one thing that you don’t expect when doing a triathlon, but there are ways to prepare yourself. For most athletes, there’s about a 1–2-minute difference between a freestanding 5K time and their triathlon 5K time....

On Friday we posted WADE CRUSER's 2015 tri accomplishments and predicted that he'd have another breakout season in 2016, one that may land him a Most Improved nomination and perhaps even a berth on Team Minnesota. Today, we're going to introduce you to Wade the Guy.
When Wade is not training he is either doing his full-time job--Gas and Electric Meter Maintenance--playing with his dogs, binge-watching Netflix stuff or eating Doritos.
Wade has a pretty girlfriend named Deanna. She has a great smile and looks awesome in her oversized sun glasses. She has a pair of pearl earrings that Wade may or may not have purchased for her...
