The 3rd annual RochesterFest Triathlon was a great event. The races were contested under a dense ceiling of grey clouds,
soil and it certainly won't be his last. On Sunday, the former Minnesota Junior of the Year nominee (2003) out-split Palmer on the bike, not an easy thing to do, and on the run, and came out of the water only seconds behind Devon, who was sporting a totally cool soul patch that he claimed was a personal tribute to super-cyclist Dave Zabriskie . Hooke's winning time on this challenging course was 1:57:15. Palmer's was 1:58:02. Mark Carey, who would relocate to North Carolina the next day (today), finished, predictably, in the third spot. We'll miss you, Mark. You're a classy guy and a great athlete.
