IMOO NOTES: Minnesota women kicked tush Big Time in Madison two Sundays ago. Two made the overall podium, four cracked the Top 10 and six—46%--finished in the top 13. Whoa!

All of those ladies cracked the 11-hour mark, which is a big deal, and all but one set a personal best.

The IM was won, for the 2^nd time, was East Gull Lake’s MICHELLE ANDRES, whose 10:08:05 was 13:52 faster than the 2^nd-place time.

Here’s the breakdown:

1. MICHELLE ANDRES, 38, East Gull Lake – 10:08:05 (1^st Overall & AG)

3. SUZIE FOX, 31, Chaska – 10:34:49 (2^nd AG – PR – Prior PR – 10:39:09) ...

SHEENA DAUER, 33, Montevideo – 10:40:41 (5^th AG – PR – Prior – 11:37:36)
ERIN KLEGSTAD, 35, St. Paul – 10:45:29 (2^nd AG – PR – Prior – 11:03:46)

12. SARA CARLSON, 37, Brainerd – 10:57:11 (4^th AG – PR – Prior: 11:33:46)

13. NICOLE HEININGER, 27, White Bear Lake – 10:57:28 (1^st AG – PR – Prior: 11:10:16)

In the AG competition, two other Minnesota women enjoyed podium finishes:

- ANN SNUGGERUD, 47, Chaska – 11:13:18 – 2^nd AG

- JAN HANDLOS, 61, Baxter (photo R) - 13:50:57 – 1^st AG

Minnesota’s top guys were STEVE MORRIS (23, St. Paul), whose 9:36:07 placed him 1^st in his AG and 5^th overall, and SEAN COOLEY (30, Minneapolis), whose 9:39:03 placed 8^th overall and 3^rd in his AG.

Another Minnesota male who podiumed last Sunday was ROMAN SCIBORA (70, Bloomington), who placed 2^nd in his AG. His time was 15:21:21.
