Sometimes words aren't enough. Pictures do a much better job. You've heard the expression ,"A picture is worth a thousand words," haven't you? It's probably true, but how did the poet or philosopher or chronic drug user who coined this expression arrive at such a round number. Aren't some pics worth only 936 words? Aren't some worth, say, 1014? We digress.
The Lakefront Days Triathlon, the 5th edition thereof is Saturday, is a very cool event. Too bad it's full, huh? Record turnout, actually.
Before we make outlandish predictions about who's gonna do what, we're going to let the three photos we filched from the event's website work on you. In these shots you'll see beautiful scenery, racing action, a happy girl with a mouth full of Chickletish teeth and hopped up on endorphins, and a couple of cyclists who appear to be falling in love during the race. (Why else would they be drafting?) We think you'll agree, the photos, and there's lots more where they came from, say more than words ever could.
