Life Time Fitness, Inc, The Healthy Way of Life Company, announced Monday the qualifying events for riders interested in participating in the 2012 Leadville Trail 100 (LT100). Registration is officially open for the Leadville Race Series qualifiers.
The LT100 lottery will close on January 31, 2012. Those who participate in the qualifiers will have their names entered into the lottery draw for the LT100, or may automatically qualify based on their performance at the qualifying events. Every qualifying event will provide 70-100 riders with a qualification to participate in the 2012 LT100.
The 2012 LT100 mountain bike qualifying events locations and dates include the 2011 qualifiers:
June 17: Wilmington Whiteface 100, Wilmington, NY.
July 22: Tahoe Trail, Tahoe, Calif.
September 15: Alpine Odyssey, Crested Butte, Colo.

Brewhouse Triathlon Announces the Get Out Project Race Series for 2012

Part I - The Confetti Method

I have developed a finely tuned method of selecting my races each season. I gather imperative information and categorize it by importance. For example, I have the race bling category, the flat terrain category and the cool name category. These are high on the priority list for obvious reasons. Additional categories may include food offered along the course as well as food available after the race. But I am not overtly picky and like to keep myself somewhat flexible. When I have my final selections, I write each race name onto a separate, small piece of paper....
