A COOL EMAIL - A few days ago we received with sweet email from Ann Paulson:
Dear Minnesota Tri News:
I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know of a further accomplishment of one of the Rookie Triathlete of the Year nominees. Andrew Gislason, in addition to breaking into the tri scene this year, also organized and participated in Gunnar's Ride, a city-wide family bike ride event in Owatonna to raise awareness for Down's Syndrome. Andrew and his wife Amanda are parents of three year old Gunnar (photo L), who has Down's Syndrome. Andrew must squeeze triathlon training in between his job as a pilot for a small company and parenting a special needs child.

Minnesota Multisport Awards -This year's Most Improved (male) nominees feature two recidivists (Marcus Stromberg and Sean Cooley, were also MI nominees in 2011), a former Junior of the Year nominee (Kyle Serreyn) and a two-time Master of the Year nominee (David Holden). Also receiving significant Committee support was John Heinlein III, who truly enjoyed a breakout season.
Here are the 2012 racing highlights of the MI nominees, athletes who have either improved their positions on Team Minnesota, made the Team for the first time, or came darn close to doing so...

Cathy Yndestad's sixth career victory at LTF Tri-Mpls Elite, was, like Michelle's and Ruther's nominated performances, unequivocally HUMONGOUS.
These are the women whose world class performances received official POY nominations:
