Minnesota Multisport Awards - The official boys Junior of the Year nominees were posted on Sunday. Today we introduce you to four girls who have incredibly bright multisport futures.
Here are the girls who received official nominations for 2011 Minnesota Junior of the Year: This is the first MMA nomination for each of these gifted young athletes.

* IN THE VERY LONG RUN - There was a really big-time running event in town last weekend. The Twin Cities Marathon & TC 10-Miler. You may have heard of them.

Ironman World Championships - Thirteen Minnesotans have accepted their qualifying slots for the 33rd Hawaiian Ironman World Championships, Triathlon's Super Bowl, which will be staged this Saturday on The Big Island.
The five Minnesota woman who will race in Kona are:

Minnesota Multisport Awards - Only four times in the first 12th years of the MMAs has the Junior of the Year category not been coed. We are, therefore, pleased to report that both a male and a female JOY will be crowned this year. The nominated girls will be revealed here on Tuesday.
Today we introduce you to the four nominated boys.

A frustrated triathlete told me that the best advice I ever gave him was the off-handed, tongue-in-cheek suggestion that he purposefully swim slower in his next race to try and ensure that less people will pass him on the bike. Thankfully, he didn
