New Bri Tri Preview - We don't expect records to fall at the 6th annual New Bri Tri on Saturday, but we do predict that it will be a super event, weather permitting.
Why?
Because it was a super event last year. And the year before that. And the year before that. Also, a glance at the start list suggests that the race will reach its 500-participant ceiling and a significant percent of the field are recidivists. It is also the most competitive race in the series. And this year's Buffalo Olympic Tri field, despite the absence of the 2010 and 2009 women's champs (Cathy Yndestad and Kortney Haag), both of whom are injured, and the fact that it shares its date with Pigman Sprint, where last year's Tri Buff men's winner (Patrick Parish) will be racing, will be as stout as ever....
