SQUARE LAKE 70.3 PREVIEW - The 3rd edition of this version of this storied event that was inaugurated 19-years ago is happening this Saturday. Entrants can still sign up, but unfortunately, COVID-19 precautions mandate that spectators stay away. Bummer, huh? The MTN Guys have only missed one prior edition of this super-challenging event and we are going to need to be medicated next weekend so as not to succumb to what used to be known as "The Vapors." ...

2020 has been a trying year for us all, full of hope, then disappointment. It’s been the year for us endurance athletes of sign up for events, train and cross fingers just to have the event cancelled/postponed. So how does one stay motivated and fit during these times? How does one keep hope and chasing races that might happen with optimism and focus to be fit and ready? Let’s say it’s not easy, but when your passion is swim, bike, and run and when the world is full of sadness and craziness the chance to go into the outdoors and swim, bike or run is that place we can escape the heartache of the world and just breathe. ...

The second time’s a charm.

An additional installment was necessary, in order to execute TRI-HARD-TRI ’20. On July 26, what would result in Part 1 of the Sprint Distance Tri on the Maple Grove course- four athletes(Daniel Duff 3rd overall, Diane Samson 3rd lady overall, Heather Moody, and Laura Hanneman) waited out the early morning rain to post Pt 1 results on the HOT and humid course....
